With the season just one month away Forresters is trying to figure out who will fill in the last two roster spots that were added this year. Along with the new "bat rule" all teams will have a 19 man roster.
Bats like the one pictured with Josh Gibson will be baned this year from New Ro softball. New Ro is following in the footsteps of nearby Pelham and banning all bats. All softball players will have to use the bats provided by New Rochelle Parks and Rec.
Forresters has made its first big free agent signing of the season coming to terms with former GW Plumbing pitcher George Wood. GM Joe Amori has confirmed the signing and according to Rich Kosiba the contract is for seven years.
Starting Left Fielder Artie has agreed to a one year contract with Forresters. Details on the contract were not available and GM Joe Amori could not be reached for comment. Artie who won last year's batting title was talking retirement at the end of the season but has decided to re-sign with the team.
