According to sources Forrester's star left fielder Artie has announced his retirement. Despite being "past his prime" according to third base coach Rich Kosiba, Artie was once again a vital part of the lineup and a key player throughout the season. Matt Summa believes that Artie will be back for another season however Allie T. could not be reached for comment. Meanwhile Richiro was quoted as saying "If Forresters is going to continue its youth movement, there is no reason why Artie should not be in left, he is the fastest guy on the team".
