Shark Soup

Forrester's moved into a 3-way tie for first with an 18-2 victory over the Sharks. The game was stopped after 5 innings of near shutout ball by George Wood. Wood was awarded the Three Musketeers player of the game afterwards. The shutout ended when Allie Tarantino, playing LC for Dave Foster, slipped on Artie's lemon ice while fielding a flyball. Rich Kosiba, less than two weeks from marital bliss, continued his torrid hitting. Kosiba proudly accepted the Snickers player of the game award. All TEN batters scored a run in the lopsided victory. Agressive baserunning and patented Forrester's D set the tone early. Forrester's looks for revenge this Friday against Beechmont Brews.

Rocket Re-Entry

One day after the disappointing extra-innings loss by Forrester's, Roger Clemens returned to the mound. Despite a fatigued groin from earlier in the week, the Rocket thrusted the Yanks to victory. Even with the win streak the Yanks still find themselves 10 1/2 behind the Sox, but the Bombers and Rocket look to position the team for a wild card run.

Freddy Sez: Sign Bernie

Freddy Sez, unofficial mascot of the New York Yankees, gives the thumbs up in support of Forrester's potential signing of Bernie Williams. Freddy is all set to bring his lucky tin pot to City Park if need be. Freddy suggested that while he's willing to pay for the Metro North fare to get to New Ro, he expects to be picked up at the station and have all drinks paid for him after the game. Freddy also sez, "Check my link on the right and buy my book."

Though members of the Forrester's softball team suffered from fatigue after last Fridays win, none of them suffered from... a fatigued groin. Meanwhile the Yanks and their fatigued laps remained 1 game ahead of the Drays.

Back-to-Back to End it!

Forrester's improved to 3-1 on the season in dramatic fashion this week. Mike Sgobbo was awarded the Snickers Award for his 7th inning game tying homer. Dave Foster followed him up with some swagger and the game winning shot to earn the Three Musketeers Award. The final score was 13-12 over the West End Originals as the Wood-Kosiba battery went to 2-0 on the season. Richiro and Artie each had a couple of hits and a couple of defensive plays. Joey Amori battled dehydration and Skip had a pivotal walk. There were many other contributions in this marvelous display of team effort.
